Mother

My children are my guiding stars, my

greatest teachers. Ten years ago they became

the beacon of courage I needed to face

the tender fragments of my inner child. Through them

I found the strength

to embrace, to heal, to act

with unshakable resolve.

Becoming a mother illuminated a truth within,

a knowing as vivid as their dreams —

I could not weave a life of beauty for them until

I dared to dream one for myself.
